Brass Banking

In August 2020, I was approached by one of the founders of Brass to help take the company’s design forward. They shared their ambition of building a premium brand that people would reference because of its design, and they believed I was the right person to help elevate the visual direction of the brand.

Over my two years at Brass, I wore many hats. As a Senior Brand Designer, I worked across graphic design, illustration, 2D and 3D motion design, photo editing, video editing, and interaction design. Beyond creating, I also had significant responsibility for the design work that went live to our customers—which included multi-channel campaigns for LinkedIn, Meta, Google, Instagram, TikTok, and X, Web app and Mobile app assets—reviewing content and copy, contributing to creative direction, maintaining a consistent brand voice across our partners, and ensuring that our work remained consistent with the brand system we developed following our rebrand in 2021.

It’s been three years since I left Brass, and one of the things I’m most proud of is the longevity of the work. I’ve met people who still recognize and praise what we built, with some describing the work as ahead of its time. Years later, I still see elements of the design language we created being referenced within the African design and technology space. These are some of the designs I personally worked on and led the creative direction.
